AVN Technical Services values the protection of your personal data. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we collect, why we process this data, how long we retain it and with which parties data may be shared.

This privacy statement applies to the use of the AVN Technical Services website and to personal data that we process in the context of our services.

2. Which personal data do we process?

AVN Technical Services only processes personal data that is necessary for our services and business operations.

Depending on how you contact us or use our services, we may process, among other things, the following data:

name and company name;
address and business location details;
e-mail address;
telephone number;
invoice and payment details;
data necessary to carry out an assignment;
correspondence and other information that you provide to us yourself;
technical data about the use of our website.

We do not knowingly collect more personal data than is necessary for the purpose for which it is used.

3. Why do we process personal data?

We may process personal data for the following purposes:

answering questions and contact requests;
preparing and carrying out quotations and agreements;
carrying out technical work and services;
communication before, during and after an assignment;
invoicing and financial administration;
complying with legal obligations;
improving, securing and managing our website;
gaining insight into the use of our website.

Depending on the processing activity, we rely on the performance of an agreement, compliance with a legal obligation, a legitimate interest or, where required, your consent.

4. Contact with AVN Technical Services

When you contact us by telephone, e-mail, through the website or in another way, we process the data that you provide to us.

We use this data only to answer your question, prepare a quotation, make arrangements or provide our services to you.

5. Website and Matomo

We use Matomo to collect statistics about the use of our website.

This gives us insight into the use of our website, for example which pages are visited and how visitors arrive at our website. We use this information to improve our website and services.

We do not use Matomo to personally identify individual visitors.

Matomo data is processed on servers managed by Basic Media. Statistical data is therefore not forwarded to external advertising platforms such as Google for analytics purposes.

Where possible, data is anonymized or pseudonymized and we limit the collection of data to what is necessary to obtain general visitor statistics.

6. Sharing personal data

AVN Technical Services does not sell your personal data to third parties.

We only share personal data when this is necessary for our services, business operations or when we are legally obliged to do so.

For technical management, hosting and website statistics we use:

Basic Media

Basic Media provides technical services for the website and manages the server environment on which, among other things, the website and Matomo run.

As a result, Basic Media may have access to personal data to the extent necessary to perform these activities. Basic Media processes this data only on behalf of AVN Technical Services and not for its own purposes.

When other parties are necessary for, for example, administration, payment, transport or the execution of an assignment, only the personal data necessary for that specific purpose is shared.

Where necessary, we make arrangements with parties that process personal data on our behalf about the careful and secure handling of this data.

7. International services

AVN Technical Services carries out work for clients inside and outside the Netherlands.

When necessary for the execution of an assignment, personal data may be processed in connection with international work, for example for communication, planning, travel, transport or access to a location.

When personal data is processed or shared outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards where necessary in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

8. Retention periods

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless we are legally required to retain data for a longer period.

Data that forms part of our financial administration is retained for the applicable statutory retention period.

Data from correspondence and assignments is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for our services, administration, warranty, handling of any disputes and maintaining the business relationship.

Website data and statistics are not retained longer than necessary for analyzing and improving the website.

9. Security

AVN Technical Services takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes.

We also expect parties that process personal data on our behalf to take appropriate security measures.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use functional and analytical cookies or similar technologies.

Functional technologies are necessary for the website to function properly.

For visitor statistics we use Matomo. We aim to configure Matomo in the most privacy-friendly way possible and to limit the collection of personal data as much as possible.

When consent is required under applicable law for placing or reading certain cookies, these will only be used after consent has been given.

11. Your privacy rights

When we process your personal data, you have several rights under the GDPR. Among other things, you can ask us for:

access to the personal data we process about you;
correction of incorrect personal data;
deletion of your personal data;
restriction of processing;
transfer of your data, where the right to data portability applies;
objection to certain processing activities.

When processing is based on your consent, you can also withdraw that consent.

12. Filing a complaint

Do you have questions or complaints about how we handle your personal data? Preferably contact us first, so that we can handle your question or complaint.

Our website may contain links to websites of other organizations. AVN Technical Services is not responsible for how these external websites handle personal data.

AVN Technical Services may amend this privacy statement when our services, website or applicable laws and regulations give reason to do so.
